Southampton Travellers CC

Southampton Travellers are a cricket club with two teams in the Hampshire Cricket League. The First XI and Second XI currently play in regional division three, with the Firsts in the South East and Seconds in the South West. We like to think of ourselves as a friendly club and are always keen to take on new members.

All of our league games take place on Saturdays, beginning at 2 p.m. We play our home games at Lordshill Rec. and have a long standing association with the nearby Horns Inn, where many will go and have a drink after a game. The Horns Inn Evening League Team are playing in the Southampton Evening Cricket League and play 16-Over matches in midweek through the summer with 42 over games on Saturday for the two Hampshire League teams. Pre-season nets are usually arranged between February and late April, generally at the indoor school at the Rose Bowl, West End.

The 2010 League Season Has Now Finished

Both teams had winning seasons and the first team finished second in RD3SE; meaning they have immediately bounced back to RD2. The second team finished comfortably mid table with 7 wins and 6 losses, a significant achievement after losing their first three games. Averages will be posted onto the website as soon as possible. There is a friendly game verses the accies on sunday 5th september.

Team Notices

After the success of last season's fines and quiz night, which raised in excess of £550, it has been decided that the fines for the Hannah Memorial Academy will not continue this season. For those who wish to donate, Chris Wilson recently completed a charity bike ride in aid of a Breast Cancer charity, so please give to this worthy cause instead!

Please be aware of the likelihood of the Air Ambulance landing at Lordshill
