Earlier this month the Hampshire Cricket League held its AGM, during which a number of rule and constitution changes were proposed. To summarise the carried changes:
- Proposals to change, add or delete from the Constitution or Rules of Play now require a simple majority (at least 51%).
- Fielding circles to be introduced in County 2 and County 3 North & South for the 2017 season
- Any club withdrawing from the league automatically takes one of the relegation places for their division
- Safety rulings regarding short-pitched “bouncer” balls
All other proposals did not carry. Full details can be found in this document: Hampshire Cricket League – Proposed Constitution & Rule Changes 2017 (.doc)
